Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas often referred to as Disneyland for adults, with the hotels, shows, shops and of course all the gaming you can muster mister.

When I first saw Las Vegas 2 years ago, I had to come to Vegas for work which meant I had to work first then play later. Being a photographer that meant seeing the sights at night.

When you first see it, it’s a bit of a shock because its right there larger than life, when you are driving its a good idea to watch the road and not at all the sights.

The one thing that struck me most was the hotels, and their not just hotels they are architectural marvels. Where else can you get a taste of Italy, France, Hollywood, Rio, just to name a few. Entertainment the skies the limit, Donny & Marie, Terry Fator, Blue Man Group, David Copperfield, just to name a few. no matter what you want to do Las Vegas has something for everyone. For me my favorite place is the Venetian with elements of Venice and St. Marks Square.

Then there is the Bellagio with its famed water show that runs every 10 minutes until midnight, which is a must see.

San Antonio Riverwalk

Recently I visited the San Antonio River walk, referred to as the Venice of the US by the locals, is full of shopping, food, and sites to see. You can explore the riverwalk on foot or if you like boats you can get on the guided river boat tour, or boat taxi which makes 39 stops along the   riverwalk..

The Riverwalk is more than 15 miles long. The more tourist portion is downtown San Antonio and if you want to stay on the riverwalk there are plenty of places to stay. And of course no visit to San Antonio wouldn’t be complete without visiting The Alamo, which it’s original intent was to be a mission, but instead turned into being  a site of one of the most bloody battles in San Antonio history and where Davy Crocket lost his life in this famous battle.
